After 3 decades of silence, the secret is finally out!
This eye-opening and mind-blowing book breaks the silence about a deeply-hidden scandal. It reveals how my academic result was switched, forcing me to live a second-hand life.
BEFORE choosing a HIGHER TRAINING OR LEARNING INSTITUTION as your academic partner, this is a MUST READ!
Unisa refers to the University of South Africa
and makes no reference to UniSA, the University of South Australia
The book ‘My Unisa Secret’ is an account of my personal experience as a Unisa student during 1993. I do not claim that all students were treated in this manner, nor do I claim that Unisa is still conducting those practices. As I am not a legal practitioner, I do not claim to offer any legal opinion, or legal advice of any kind.
in ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’, Robert Kiyosaki explores the cliché of how parents teach their kids to study hard so that they get good grades and hopefully find a great job that will unlock their ultimate futures.
When I was young, I was taught to do the same: I was going to study hard and obtain my doctorate degree in Industrial Psychology when I turned 30, then proceed with building a fulfilling and rewarding career.
However, in my case, my future did not work out as planned.
In fact, all my exciting career plans came to a crashing halt when Unisa (the University of South Africa), pilfered my exam result. In my book I share the shocking reason behind Unisa’s decision to switch my result, and reveal how the university, by their own admission, used my academic record.
However, there is a lot more to this story. The book also provides plausible arguments that illustrate how political demands at the time, may have enabled the type of unfair and unlawful practices where a student’s rights could so easily be violated.
Although this incident occurred three decades ago, underlying issues of corrupt decisions, gross violations and the silencing of a victim remain relevant and in the public interest. Unisa’s callous act forever changed my life and ruined my plans for a fulfilling future. It forced me to live a second-hand life; resulting in the loss of millions of rands.
After years of silence, you can now read the full story in my book ‘My Unisa Secret’, for the very first time. In thirty years, I have never come across any story that is even remotely similar, so the startling revelations contained in this book may very well be a world-wide scoop.
So, brace yourself for explosive content and more shocking revelations.
In my book ‘My Unisa Secret’, I argue that education is the only real equaliser in any society.
I discuss the principles that form the cornerstone of education, and explain why it is so important to honour them.
I further discuss how effective learning institutions should be managed, and the implications of introducing alternative education systems that can compromise the credibility and legitimacy of education, academic records and qualifications.

Chriselda Crous is an education specialist with decades of experience in all training functions. She loves to learn and is always ready to enrol in the next programme. She is also a former Unisa student who shares a shocking personal experience in ‘My Unisa Secret’. This mind-blowing encounter is so rare, that it is probably a world scoop. In the book, she describes how her goal of obtaining a PhD at age thirty was destroyed, and how the politics of the day could have influenced the injustice she had suffered.
Chriselda still believes that education is the only true equaliser in any society. Today, she campaigns for quality education to be practiced according to recognised training principles; enabling students to develop and expand themselves so that their contributions can improve the world that we live in.
